Who We Support

Warrior Foundation Freedom Station’s mission is to enable our nation’s post9/11 ill and injured warriors to lead purposeful and self-sufficient lives through programs that inspire recovery, independence, and a passion for the future. In alignment with our mission, and as a response to the current crisis, we have established the Emergency COVID-19 Warrior Relief Effort focused on our Southwest Region military and veteran community Through this effort, we will offer financial assistance to qualified post-9/11 ill and injured warriors who are experiencing an unexpected financial setback as a direct result of the pandemic.

Eligibility Requirements and Supporting Documentation

Eligible applicants for this program must be Southwest Region based post-9/11 ill or injured or service members who are medically retired (or in the process) and/or have a disability rating of 50% or higher. This includes both active duty service members and honorably discharged veterans. 

Requests for essential living expenses will be considered in the following areas:

  • Mortgage/Rent
  • Groceries and Meals
  • Utilities
  • Auto Loans
  • Medical Bills
  • Other Emergent Needs

If you are requesting funds for bills, they should be no more than 60 days past due. Payments will be sent directly from the foundation to creditors/payees after an application is approved.

Supporting Documentation

Please have the following documents ready to upload along with your application.

  • A copy of your DD214 (if discharged).
  • VA documentation of disability rating.
  • Command Point of Contact if you are on active duty.
  • If the request for assistance is for a bill, please attach the most recent copy of the bill/statement.

How to Apply

Click on the button below to complete the Warrior Emergency Assistance application outlining the nature and amount of your financial request. Please explain how the financial setback is directly related to the pandemic (i.e. unanticipated job loss, employee furlough or reduction in work hours of either you or your spouse; health issues; increased expenses, etc.). Be prepared to upload supporting documentation.

You will receive an e-mail notification confirming receipt of your application, and it will be reviewed in the order received. If additional information is needed, one of our representatives will get in touch with you.
